Fisher-Titus Medical Center
Is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the laboratory, in accordance with the established hospital and department policies and standards. Will play a lead role in the strategic planning process and the implementation of initiatives focused on enhanced performance, workflow redesign, and developing a culture that emphasizes excellence in the quality and delivery of laboratory services.
Readily and accurately identifies opportunities for improvement relating to the delivery of laboratory services, quality-of-work life, and patient care issues. Works collaboratively with the supervisors and managers across departmental lines, to implement solutions and take steps to improve departmental performance. Maintains compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policy for patient services, personnel management, and environmental safety.
Minimum of bachelors degree in medical technology.
Preferably a masters degree in business or laboratory management.
Minimum of five years of experience supervising multiple areas of the Laboratory.
Experience in coding laboratory procedures and knowledgeable in Medicare compliance regulations.
Provides direct supervision of the supervisory staff.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements including: safety, CAP, JCAHO, state and federal guidelines.
