Conducts medical nutrition therapy to hospitalized patients. Participates in performance improvement and or outcome research activity. Participates in activities that promotes the clinical dietitian as the nutrition expert. Provides age specific care to patient from neonates through the elderly. Must have the skills to work independently without close supervision. Completion of CAADE accredited or approved supervised practice program. Maintain at least 15 diabetes related CEUs per year while employed. CDE preferred not required. Registered through the American Dietetic Association within 3 months of hire date. Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio required. Must remain in good standing with both programs. One year on the job Dietician experience required. Knowledge and skills to provide medical nutrition therapy to patients along with a working knowledge of the nutrition care process. This position possesses unique skills to provide Medical Nutrition Therapy, MNT to patients and clients. The incumbent has the ability to evaluate and recommend nutritional needs based on the patient, clients age, physical needs and complex clinical conditions.
Bachelor Degree RD - Dietitian - Registered Licensed to practice in Ohio. Preferred quals: 2 years related exp, Masterï¿½s Degree in nutrition, education or related field , CDE, CNSD, etc.
